The medieval city has been proclaimed protected monument by UNESCO in 1988 for the value
of its cultural patrimony.
Thermal baths of Kalithea
The Thermal baths of Kalithea were built by Italians during the period of Italian
occupation.
The thermal baths have gone then to disuse and the thermal buildings and equipment are now being
restored.
