Sunset on the ferry at our arrival in Olbia. |

Palau (in local dialect Lu Palau) is a small community of about 3.800 peoples in
the Olbia-Tempio province.
The morphology of the coast has a variety of bays, cliffs, islets and rocky reefs. Despite
the tourist development, the area keeps a fascinating spirit, because of the incredible
colours of the ocean, the granitic cliffs shaped by the elements in weird forms, the
beautiful beaches end the Mediterranean flora. |

A few kilometres from Palau, Porto Pollo has two long sandy beaches.
The western beach is three kilometres long and includes the mouth of the Liscia river.
The Isola dei Gabbiani (Seagull’s Island) is the local surfer’s paradise, thanks to the
combination of currents and winds present on the site all year long. |

| La Grotta di Nettuno (Neptune’s Cave) |
 |
The Neptune’s Cave has a breathtaking scenery created by exceptional
formations and the crystal clear water of its internal lake. The cave has a total
surface of 2.500 meters, with numerous halls, wide galleries, clear lakes, deep wells,
narrow passages that makes the cave quite complex. The cave combines different naturalistic
peculiarities that make it one of the most interesting and noteworthy of the entire
Mediterranean Basin. Geologically the Capo Caccia Cape has an age estimated between 135 and
65 million years.

From Caprera Garibaldi left for the great Unitarian dream. He came back to stay for the rest
of his life and he built his home. The "White House" of Caprera is today a National Museum and
represents one of the more significant moments in the historical course to Nation Unity.
Caprera is a wild and harsh island of breathtaking beauty. The sea bottom is beautiful with
many remarkable diving sites. Among which I Picchi di Cala Coticcio (Cove Coticcio Pinnacles)
and Cala degli Inglesi (Englishmen’s Cove). |
