Even if it lies on the Maine river, the Castle of Angers is
classified amoung the Castles of the Loire.
The fortress has a circumference of almost 600 mt and is protected by 17 towers 40 to 50 meters
tall.
Whithin the Castle the famous Apocalypse Tapestry, a series of 69 subjects made between 1373
and 1382 from the painter Hennequin de Bruges and the Parisian tapestry-weaver Nicolas Bataille
for the duke Louis I of Angjou.
