AUXERRE
The ancient houses in the centre of Auxerre have decorated facades with wooden partition. Some of these houses have been built in the XVI century. The wooden partition are often carved with tangled decorations and coats of arms of work as many of these houses used to be the ancient shops of the city.

Eglise de St. Pierre en Vallée
The Church of St. Peter was built on the site of an ancient abbey.
The Romanesque church was reconstructed between XVI and XVII century with a great squared tower similar to that of the Cathedral.
The wine-makers have financed a part of the construction and they have placed their protecting saints on the portals of the facade, St. Vincent and St. Cartault.

Vallan

Abbaye de Pontigny

Bourbon-Lancy

Bourbon-Lancy is a small medieval town in the Southwest of the Bourgogne Region.
It is located in the West part of the department of Saône-et-Loire, close to the Allier and the Nièvre.

Bourbon-Lancy Coats of Arms

Bourbon-Lancy is known since ancient times for its thermal waters. Today it offers a beautiful medieval heritage: the bell tower, the old district, the bastions and a Romanesque church.
