Damme

Windmills are not an exclusive characteristic of Holland but they are also found in Belgium. Here we are in the countryside around Damme.

Brugge
The history of Brugge (Bruges) starts about 2000 years ago, around this date we have news of a Gallic-Romanic installation on the site of the actual city.
The name Bruges comes from the ancient Norwegian word" Bryggja" that means unloading place, the name Bruges appeared in official documents and coins beginning from the IX century.

Knokke
Knokke is the most North-eastern city of the Belgian coast and it is considered the most exclusive beach of the country.
Knokke was founded as place of dam construction in the area of the" Zwin" the stretch of sea that separates Belgium from Holland and that today is an important natural reserve.

Bruxelles
The Atomium is among the more classical places of interest of the city of Bruxelles.
